Privacy Policy
Effective August 24, 2026
Voysum is designed to keep local tools local and to use only the data needed to provide cloud transcription.
Local browser tools
Free media, subtitle, and transcript utilities marked as local run inside your browser. The files or text you select for these tools are not uploaded to Voysum.
Cloud transcription
When you request transcription, the selected media file is uploaded to private object storage and sent to the configured transcription provider for processing. The source file is deleted by the worker after it has been downloaded for processing.
Generated transcript text and export files may remain in storage so the result page and downloads continue to work. Storage lifecycle settings may remove these results later.
Anonymous sessions and usage
Voysum stores an anonymous session identifier in your browser to associate jobs, enforce free usage limits, and prevent other sessions from reading your results. We may store file name, file size, processing status, timestamps, transcript output, and error information.
Service providers and security
Voysum may use infrastructure providers for hosting, databases, queues, object storage, and speech-to-text processing. Data is shared only as needed to operate the requested service.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Do not upload material you are not authorized to process.
Your choices and contact
You can use the free local tools without uploading files. Clearing browser storage removes the local anonymous session identifier, but does not automatically delete server records.
